Most of the arable land at both the Worton and Thrupp farms is being or has been through a long conversion process to achieve organic status. This land is farmed under the stringent conditions of the Soil Association to provide organic crops for an increasingly selective British market. We are proud to play our part in the trend towards organic farming methods and standards.
Avoiding the use of chemicals or industrial fertilisers blends perfectly into the environmentally sensitive ethos of Worton, which aims to manage a wide range of business activities in a modern commercial manner but within a natural framework. Worton also produces a wide range of organically grown vegetables, which are described more fully elsewhere on this site.
